As far as I know, this disease is not genetic. There are many theories about the cause of this disease but nothing conclusive.

Most likely. They are finding more evidence to support that idea, and I find it hard to believe that all three related members in my family got it all randomly. The statistical chances of that seem absurd.

I have been told it’s genetic. Beside myself and a niece, I have 2 cousins that have it.

I’ve been suffering from what seems like IC but in some areas, but not in all. I bladder irritation with severe urine retention every time I eat acidic foods.! I started taking marshmallow root several years ago and it has been very effective in Keeping my bladder calm
