The best pain relief suggestion I have for you is applying ice below the stomach. I know this sounds very simple; however, it is one of the few things that really helps with the pain. Grab a few ice cubes; place them in a plastic bag. And apply! It is that easy. I did a post on this technique a few years ago, and I thought it was worth mentioning again.
I find that freezer bags work best. The regular plastic zip bags tend to leak.
For me, when I use ice, I get quick pain relief. I especially use it when watching television or just before bed. Also, if you have a long drive ahead of you, grab your plastic zip bag of ice.
I know that some people use heat, but I personally get better results with ice. If I really want to reduce my pain level, I put about a 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda in water. See Tip 101: FAST Pain Relief!

Hi how was your experience with marshmallow root. Does that help with IC urgency?

It helps with urgency in the sense that it coates the bladder which should lead to less spasms….leading to less urgency. I hope this helps you. Let me know if you give Marshmallow Root a try.
