TESTIMONIALS
Testimony #1 – “Incredible Therapeutic Effects” written December 8, 2012
Before I begin the review, I would like to state that I am a practicing physician 👨⚕️ as well as an academic scientist 👩🔬 (a pharmacologist). In short, I look at these ‘health supplements’ very skeptically.
I have a very mild form of interstitial cystitis where my urinary frequency goes up if I eat/drink acidic foods. It has not been bad enough for me to take any treatment for it.
I also have severe GERD that is well controlled with PPI (omeprazole); but still acts up at times if I drink acidic wine 🍷, eat spicy 🌶️ food etc. When it does act up, antacids such as TUMS, PEPCID take quite a while (hours ⏰) to give me any relief.
I was just randomly reading some reviews on antacids on amazon and came across this product. I thought I would give this a try to the best of my knowledge the ingredients seemed harmless.

I have been pleasantly surprised with these pills! Firstly the pills provide me instant relief from exacerbation of GERD. What amazed me is how well Prelief worked on my bladder irritation. My job requires me to be in the operating room for long hours ⏰; so anything that can decrease urinary frequency was a gift 🎁 from heaven for me. My GERD was so well controlled that I even quit taking omeprazole for few weeks 📆 and tried to treat acidity just by Prelief. That did not go so well, so I am back on PPI. Regardless, the fact that I could even go for few weeks is remarkable.
I did some literature search 🔍 about the main ingredient of this product (calcium glycerphosphate). Hardly any data is available about its efficacy in various disorders (except dental caries!). So I don’t know if there are any long term side effects of this ‘drug’. Given that its essentially a calcium supplement, I can’t think of any potential ones except kidney stones 🪨; although biology always surprises humans.
In summary, I have been very impressed with this product, have recommended to my colleagues and family for GERD and urinary urgency. But I don’t know if there are any long term consequences of taking this drug; hopefully none. Hope this review helps some people.
6/19: In light of some recent studies demonstrating increased risk of atherosclerosis in people taking calcium supplements, I reevaluated this product.. I was happy 😃 to see that the amount of calcium is quite low for it to cause blood🩸vessel hardening if you take only the recommended dose (2 tablets at a time)..I think if the total intake is kept around 4 tablets/day, it shouldn’t add any risk..

Testimony #2 – “This is MAGIC for people with bladder spasms” written June 14, 2018
This stuff is FANTASTIC.
“…I have Interstitial Cystitis. It can be a freaking nightmare. Prelief helps me keep it from always being a problem. Between this and careful eating 🍽️ (more alkaline foods) I have far less spasms. I keep a bottle of this with me at all times. If I feel spasms coming on, I take a couple. If I’m eating a no-no food 🍲, I take it. On top of that I have no trouble using this. I can’t tolerate meds, and usually that includes OTC things as well—no problem with this. I’ve had zero side effects.
Also, I’ve shared this with friends who have IC from various problems… I wish more people knew about Prelief. It really works… I got my life back with far less random bladder attacks. I highly recommend this.”
