Your bladder holds pee. Your kidneys filter your blood and remove materials such as salt, water, toxins and waste products through pee.
As your bladder fills with pee, it expands like a balloon. When it fills with 200 to 350 milliliters of pee, nerves in your bladder tell your brain to use the toilet.

The bladder is a hollow organ located in the lower abdomen that stores urine until it is passed out of the body when you pee. As urine is produced, it moves from each of your two kidneys into your bladder via a set of tubes called ureters. The bladder’s walls relax and expand to store urine, and contract and flatten to empty urine through the urethra. When the bladder is full, nerve signals are sent to the brain to convey the need to urinate, and the urinary sphincter opens to allow urine to flow out. The typical healthy adult bladder can store up to two cups of urine for two to five hours.

Interesting Michael, thanks for sharing that information. I wish my 2 cups of coffee would last two hours or more, darn caffeine! 🤣

I miss my cup of coffee ☕️ in the morning. I cannot have coffee anymore because it’s too acidic. My bladder cannot handle it. Hope you and your family are doing well.
