Interstitial Cystitis/bladder pain syndrome (IC/BPS) is a chronic condition characterized by pelvic pain coupled with urinary frequency and urgency. The underlying cause of IC/BPS is unknown; there is no cure. Inappropriate eating 🍽️ habits can make IC symptoms worse

2022 research indicates that an anti-inflammatory diet may help those with Interstitial Cystitis (IC). This could include foods low in saturated fats and rich in vitamins.

You may have to adjust the meal 🍽️ plan below to address your personalized food sensitivities.

Meal Plan

On an Interstitial Cystitis diet, a sample menu could include the following:

Breakfast 🍳

  • omelette with mushrooms 🍄‍🟫 and spinach
  • oatmeal with bananas 🍌 , nut 🥜 butter, and blueberries 🫐
  • avocado 🥑 toast with hard-boiled egg 🥚

Lunch 🥙

  • rice 🍚 , asparagus, and baked salmon 🍣
  • brown rice, grilled chicken 🍗 , and broccoli 🥦
  • wrap with cream cheese 🥯 , chicken 🍗 , avocado 🥑 and spinach

Dinner 🥘

  • tuna salad sandwich 🥪
  • stuffed bell peppers 🫑 with ground beef 🥩

Snacks

  • almonds with low fat cheese 🧀
